Death by meeting

I have often come across this issue in my professional career and as a volunteer: death by meeting. Too many meetings are wasting people’s time due to lack of agenda and a facilitator to keep to it. At a very least actions should be clearly assigned in the minutes and progress should be reported on at the next meeting.
